# Risk Dairy — Dairy Job & Cheese Making Script for FiveM
**From cow to cheese with your own hands: milk, separate, churn, press and ripen. Every step is a minigame.**
Risk Dairy is a FiveM dairy job script for ESX, QBCore and QBox, also known as a milk job, cheese making job or dairy farm. Players milk cows, split the milk into cream and skim milk, churn butter, press cheese and let it ripen, then sell everything at milk vending machines. Works with ox_inventory, qs-inventory, codem-inventory, tgiann-inventory, core_inventory, origen_inventory and qb-inventory, ships a custom barn MLO and runs at 0.00ms idle.

## Why this one
Most milk jobs end at "hold E next to a cow, get milk, sell milk". Risk Dairy is a full production chain.
- **Five steps, five products.** Milk, cream, skim milk, butter and cheese. Each product sells for more than the one before.
- **You do the work with the mouse.** Pull the teat, turn the crank, push the plunger, sprinkle the salt, turn the screw. No progress bar to stare at.
- **Cheese takes real time.** It rests in the press, then ripens on a shelf on server time. Logged off? It keeps ripening.
- **Your map, your layout.** Every machine is placed ingame with admin commands. No coordinates in the config.
- **Everything is ours.** Custom barn MLO, custom cow, 12 custom dairy props. No third party downloads.
---
## The Dairy Chain
| Step | Machine | What the player does | Result |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **1** | Cow pasture | Click a teat and pull the mouse down | Bucket of milk |
| **2** | Cream separator | Tip the bucket in, grab the crank and turn it | Cream + skim milk |
| **3** | Butter churn | Pour the cream, push the plunger up and down, lift the lid | Fresh butter |
| **4** | Butter shelf | Put the fresh butter down and let it set | Butter |
| **5** | Cheese press | Pour skim milk, sprinkle salt and rennet, turn the screw | Young cheese |
| **6** | Ripening shelf | Put the young cheese on a free place | Ripe cheese |
Ripe cheese pays the most. Players who skip steps and sell plain milk earn a fraction of it. That is the whole loop: invest time, earn more.

## Minigames at Every Machine
This is a cheese job, not a progress bar job. Each machine has its own feel.
- **Milking** — click one of four teats and pull down. Every cow rests for a few minutes afterwards.
- **Pouring** — the bucket floats over the machine. `A` tips it, `D` tips it back. Milk only flows when it is fully tilted, with its own sound.
- **Cranking** — grab the separator crank with the left mouse button and turn it in a circle. Turn too fast and your hand slips.
- **Churning** — hold the mouse and move it up and down. The plunger follows your hand.
- **Sprinkling** — click the salt shaker, it flies over the cheese. Click three times and the salt rains down. Same with the rennet.
- **Pressing** — hold the mouse and drag it to the right to turn the screw down.
Every step is checked on the server with a minimum time, so a modified client cannot skip a minigame. `X` stops any machine at any time.

## Real Time Cheese Making
A cheese is not finished when the minigame ends.
| Stage | Where | Default time |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Resting** | Inside the cheese press | 30 seconds (set it to 5-10 minutes on busy servers) |
| **Ripening** | On the ripening shelf | 20 minutes |
| **Setting** | Butter on the butter shelf | 10 minutes |
Every press holds one cheese per player, so several players can use the same press at the same time. A timer floats above the press: **Pressing 0:24** or **Done - take the cheese out**. Every shelf has 12 places shared by all players, with a per-player limit. Floating labels show the ripeness of every cheese.
Everything is stored in the database. A server restart loses nothing.
---
## Milk Vending Machines
Your players sell at milk vending machines, not at a random NPC behind a counter.
- **Knock and sell** — a player with dairy goods knocks, a farmer steps out of the machine and the camera turns to his face. The sell menu is a paper delivery slip: pick the goods, take cash or send it to the bank.
- **24/7 shop** — a player without goods gets the machine shop instead. Sell milk, butter and cheese, or any item of your server, with your own pictures.
- **Place as many as you want** — `/dairyseller` puts one wherever you aim. Every machine gets its own map blip.
---
## Place Everything Ingame
Nine admin commands build your dairy. Aim at the ground, turn with the mouse wheel, press `E`.
| Command | Places |
| --- | --- |
| `/dairyseparator` `/dairychurn` `/dairypress` | Machines, as many as you want |
| `/dairyshelf` `/dairybutter` | Cheese and butter shelves |
| `/dairyseller` | Milk vending machines |
| `/dairyshop` `/dairycows` | The supply shop and the cow pasture |
| `/dairyclean` | Removes every machine of one kind |
A see-through preview shows the machine with its moving parts, so you see where the front is. `G` switches to remove mode. Full shelves and busy machines cannot be removed, so nobody loses a cheese. Positions are saved in the database and appear for every player at once, no restart.
New buyers start with a finished dairy: the barn MLO in Grapeseed comes fully set up on the first start.

## Built for Your Other Scripts
Everything runs on plain items, so your other scripts can hand out, take and sell them.
```lua
-- A quest or job reward that gives a ripe cheese
exports.ox_inventory:AddItem(source, 'dairy_cheese', 1)
-- Run it next to Risk Farm: the separator takes farm milk, no cows needed
Config.UseFarmMilk = true
-- Sell any item of your server in the milk vending machines
{ item = 'water', label = 'Water', price = 10, image = 'nui://ox_inventory/web/images/water.png' },
```
Notify, help text and HUD hiding each take one function in the config, so `risk-hudv3` or any notify script plugs in directly.

## FAQ
**What is Risk Dairy?**
Risk Dairy is a FiveM dairy job for ESX, QBCore and QBox where players milk cows, separate cream, churn butter, press and ripen cheese and sell it at milk vending machines.
**Is it a milk job or a cheese job?**
Both. Players can sell plain milk after the first step, or go all the way to ripe cheese, which pays the most.
**Does it work with my inventory?**
Yes. ox_inventory, qs-inventory, codem-inventory, tgiann-inventory, core_inventory, origen_inventory, qb-inventory and the ESX and QBCore native inventories are detected automatically.
**Does it work with Quasar (qs-inventory)?**
Yes. qs-inventory has its own bridge and is detected automatically.
**Do I need the MLO?**
No. The barn MLO is included and set up, but you can delete it and place every machine in your own map with the commands.
**Can I move the machines?**
Yes. Nine admin commands place and remove machines, the shop, the pasture and the milk vending machines ingame. No coordinates to type.
**Does it cost performance?**
No. Risk Dairy runs at 0.00ms idle. Machines and cows only spawn near players, and the UI uses no resources while it is closed.
**Does it need ox_target?**
No. The built-in `E` prompt is the default. ox_target and qb-target are used when you turn them on.
**Can I use it with Risk Farm?**
Yes. One setting makes the separator take the farm milk instead of cow milk.
**Can I translate it?**
Yes. 11 languages ship complete, and the locale files are open, so you can add your own. In other languages it is the Milchbauer or Molkerei job in German, producteur laitier or fromagerie in French, lechero or quesería in Spanish, caseificio in Italian, melkveehouder in Dutch, mleczarz in Polish, produtor de leite in Portuguese, сыроварня in Russian and mandıra in Turkish.
